The Salvation Army
Our President, Steve Sefton serves on the Metropolitan Board and Finance Committee of the Salvation Army in San Diego. For more than 125 years, the Salvation Army has been delivering services and hope to the less fortunate on the streets of San Diego and to those in shelters, schools, and daycare centers across the Southland. Internationally, it is an organization with a lineage of public service that dates back to 1865, and has evolved over the decades into a social service provider with an unmatched scope and breadth. The Salvation Army currently has representation in 127 different countries worldwide, in addition to nearly 8,000 centers of operation across the United States.
Friends Working Together Downtown
Regents Bank supports Friends of Downtown (FOD), a non-profit organization that provides its members an opportunity to advocate, educate and celebrate Downtown San Diego. Through the generosity of members, guests, and corporate sponsors, FOD has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to students of San Diego City College. FOD also collects non-perishable food, blankets, books, socks, and toiletries to fill 100 large holiday gift bags for senior shut-ins with limited incomes.
Educational lunch programs, open to members and guests, are held monthly at different downtown San Diego restaurants to provide members and guests a unique dining experience. Each month features a prominent community leader as the guest speaker sharing information on downtown projects, community partnerships, and much more.
